With over 1.2 million apps in the app store and over 1.75 billion smartphone users in the world, Parentsware reached out to us with their vision and it was our mission to make their product stand out from the rest. Our team was tasked with the launch of their first application called “OurPact”. OurPact is a break through parental control app that harnesses the power of Internet and application blocking in order to teach children proper device use. Due to a massive technological knowledge gap between parents and children, we knew we had to provide parents with an experience that helped them understand technology so they can focus on what they do best: parenting.
THE SOLUTION /
When getting down to the strategy we had to start at the core: what matters the most to parents. We worked with Parentsware to deeply understand what challenges parents are currently facing with technology as it relates to their children. We facilitated meetings uncovering valuable insight and realized we needed to craft an experience around simplicity, ease of use and flexibility. We knew that in order for this to be successful we had to enable parents to clearly envision this being apart of their busy lifestyle.
Therefore, we crafted a positive story around “teaching responsibility through technology.” We created a responsive website that leverages the latest technology to show parents in a simple, yet complex way how to use the application, what it looks like and what benefits they will gain from it. We used bright color blocking, concise typography, beautiful flat iconography and html 5 video previews. With the combination of these elements, we successfully told a story that revolves around the idea that parents should work with children to conquer the scary elements of technology and strike a perfect balance between family, school, activities and technology.
