Over the past decade, the role of a CIO (Chief Information Officer) has greatly changed. IT professionals have been put under a great deal of pressure to keep up with the high-speed evolution of technology – making matters much more complex. Thus, resulting in executives having a more difficult time communicating their value.

How do you provide the appropriate guidance and support to overcome this problem? You create a world-class brand that empowers CIOs and IT professionals – globally – through tailored programs, which aim to solve some of these intricate IT issues in modern businesses.

We worked with CEC to realign its organization through the new development of a consistent brand to tell their story, along with the value CEC provides to their members and to the company itself.

After interviewing CEC’s staff, leadership team, and key stakeholders - as well as the past and present members - we were able to gain valuable market and industry insight to better understand the company’s climate and pain points. Internally, we’ve conducted primary market research, along with a detailed competitive analysis to better understand how CEC was positioned in the marketplace. This was a joint effort between Movetic & Steven Picanza.

WITH A NEW IDENTITY

It was important to stay true to the existing brand equity and rich history that the original “CIO” logomark embodied. So, we decided to update the logotype to match the business in an updated and more bold version - a strategic move by our team. And to create a more cohesive and stronger foundation for the business, we crafted a mission and vision statement, a tagline, five core values, a brand story, and program messaging - which was presented through out 20+ different print and digital projects.

We’ve developed an experience that matches the project's two main objectives - CEC and its members. First, for the members, we developed a resource center which contains the latest white papers, articles, ebooks, and videos - all aimed to empower and fuel IT professionals with abundant information to feed industry knowledge. Next, we focused on CEC to develop specific program landing pages that articulate value for prospective clients, coupled with testimonials and facts. As a result, we cleaned up the overall user experience and successfully accomplished both goals.
